properties (Includes lab analysis and written report(s)) - SURFACE SAMPLES: Surface samples are generally taken by placing
clear tape or swabbing directly onto a contaminated area, lifting the
mold-like substance from that surface and sending it to a qualified lab
for analysis. Surface samples identify specific genus or types of molds
on that surface but do not quantify spore counts. (Two sample minimum
applies.) - AIR TESTING: Air testing requires a minimum of three samples; one
indoor sample and two outdoor samples. The outdoor samples serve
as a control for determining whether or not the indoor air is problematic.
